Use a skill
Call a skill by name, start from a chip, or let Light pick one for you.
You can put a skill to work in four ways. Each one ends the same way, with Light reading the skill and following it.
Type a slash
In the Light composer, type /. A list of your skills opens with a line on what each one does. Keep typing to narrow it, use the arrow keys to move, and press Enter to drop the name in. Then write the rest of your brief after it.
/product-video-skill a 10 second spin of the green sneaker, studio lightYou can name more than one skill in a message. Light loads each one before it starts.
Start from canvas home
The chips under the composer on canvas home are skills. Click one and its name and a starting brief fill the box. Change the brief and press Enter. The canvas opens with Light already on the job.
Try from the catalog
On skills, open a skill and press its Try button, like Try /product-video-skill. A canvas opens with that skill in the composer. If you are signed out, you sign in first and come back to the same skill.
The Inputs on a catalog page tell you what to bring, like a product photo or a script. Add them to the board or the message the way you would for any brief.
Let Light pick
Light can load any skill you leave switched on when your request matches it, so you don't need to type the name. This is the default. To turn it off, or to switch single skills on and off, see Manage your skills.
A skill you switch off still works when you call it. Type its /name and Light loads it.
While it runs
The skill shapes how Light plans and writes prompts. Your shots come back the same way as any other brief. In Review, Light places the shots and waits for you to run them, one at a time or with Run all. In Create, they start on their own. See Ask Light.
