Plans and billing
What the free account includes, what each plan adds, how top-ups work and where to see what you've spent.
Everything you generate spends credits from one wallet. One credit is one cent, so 100 credits is one dollar. A plan adds credits to the wallet every month, and a top-up adds more when you need them. The full comparison is on pricing.
Free
You can sign up without a card. A free account comes with:
- 100 welcome credits to spend on the canvas.
- A set of free image models. Video models and premium image models stay locked in the generate bar until you're on a plan.
- 30 messages to Light a day.
On a free account, shots that Light places never start on their own, even in Create. You run each one yourself. Welcome credits work on the website only, so generating through MCP needs a plan or a top-up.
Plans
Every month, a plan adds credits equal to its price. Ray costs $20 a month and adds 2,000 credits. Every plan unlocks all the models and unlimited Light messages, and in Create mode Light starts shots on its own.

Paying yearly costs 20% less than paying monthly.
Top-ups
Once you're on a plan, you can buy more credits at any time in packs of $25, $50 or $100. Open Billing from the account menu, which takes you to your profile. Top-up credits go into the same wallet as your monthly credits.
See what you've spent
Usage in the account menu shows your balance, what each canvas has cost and every charge and refund in your wallet. Use it to see what the kurta catalogue cost to make, or to check that Chromatic refunded a failed run.
The Billing & Invoices tab on your profile has your plan and your invoices.
Earn credits
Choose Join Discord in the account menu and join the server, and you get 200 credits.
What spends credits
Generations spend credits and other work on the board doesn't. A failed run gives its credits back. See Credits for the full list.
